I like this boat allot. The price of 5K seems like twice what I would be willing to pay. School me, am I way wrong?

$1500 would be in the ball park if it can be towed away as is. In other words, floats, runs & trailer will make it home safely.

$3000 to $5000 if mint. Mint is original, not restored.

I had one with a 120 OMC stringer. Handled great but in my opinion was rough riding. Always thought maybe the short bow put the driver in a cab forward position to feel the bumps more. Built tough as nails.

Advertised as MerCruiser 130HP. No such thing. From the manifold & carb installation I can tell you that is a 120 HP.

I have turned down a couple Aristo Crafts in about the same shape that were less than $1,000. This guy's price is WAY out of line. He's probably either not at all familiar with the value of these boats, looking to make a killing or simply trying to get his money back because he now knows he paid too much. In any case, walking away is a no-brainer.

I hate to see someone who is new to the hobby get "taken" on their first boat purchase. Unfortunately, it happens a lot. If you want "potential," I have several boats I'd sell for less than $1,000 that are more collectible than an Aristo Craft and could be made respectable and seaworthy for another $1,000 and some elbow grease. Many other members have them too. Fiberglassics should be your first place to shop.
