The interior of my 1960 Texas Maid Tahiti has a nice original spec paint that is 80% good throughout the boat. I doubt I can paint match it but not sure. I would willing to paint the whole interior but need some input. Here is a pic of the paint, is this stuff available? Does it roll on or need to be sprayed? Thanks for the input

Peoriaone:

That picture you posted of that interior paint looks like "Zolatone" and YES, you can still get it! I will get a link up here for it so you can order it if you want to.

Peoriaone:

Here is a link to a company that has that interior paint:

I have used them to redo the interior paint on our 1960 Glasspar G-3 Skiboat. They are a great company to deal with.

Hope this helps you Sir.

I agree with all that has been said about tcp and Zolatone. You should be cautioned with regard to using Zolatone. It takes a really big tip and low pressure to work correctly. Personally I like a gun with a 2.0 mm or bigger tip gravity feed HVLP gun. Since Zolatone has gotten so expensive I would suggest that you set up a pattern panel so that you can quickly adjust your gun for maximum performance with little wasted material. Good luck.
