TOPIC: 1958 Lonestar Meteor.

I have this restored 1958 Lonestar Meteor boat with Mercury Mark 58 motor. All Fully restored. About how much are these worth in this kind of condition? I am looking to sell and need to find a good asking price. And some good websites where I should post the sale. I'd like to post it nationally because of how rare this boat is. I've tried to upload a picture but it this website isn't letting me.

You will need to resize your image to less than 1 MB.

To post a picture put it on your computer and if you have windows platform use the paint app to resize it. Make the size about 1000 to 1500 pixels, save it and then type in your message, click the "browse (img)" button on the lower part of the message section, find your picture, open it and it will load up. Submit and your finished.
I've sold several boats on ebay, there are people out there who are looking for your type of boat and constantly scour the net looking for them. Craigslist also works but be careful of those Nigerian princes who will have their people pick it up at your residence and pay with your paypal account. EBay charges a commission if you sell. If you are asking a reasonable price the commission probably will be anywhere from $120 to $150.

That hull is on my Bucket list. If it is restored I am sure its way out of my range. Good luck and all I can ad from my limited experince with selling these things is... Its worth what you get for it no more no less.

Here's a link to another one for sale, the seller is asking almost $35,000 which is wasaaayyyyy more than I would even consider. Maybe that's why it's still for sale. Old saying....only worth what someone is willing to pay. How long do you want to hold on to it?
Put it on EBay for $15G with a reserve of 25 and see what you get. Probably a lot of "watchers". If your reserve is not met, no harm done.

By the way, Weslo, that is a beautiful boat you have there. I think those boats were properly named as they look like they should be flying through outer space!!!! Very nice!!!!
