TOPIC: ballast anyone got ideas video on youtube

ok i am proud to report the sea trials went well. it has alot of giddy up and planes out great . my issue now is ballast when i let my buddy run it around while i got video from the dock there was a lot of listing to the starboard side where the helm is. he is about 250 or so the dash, the sink and seat, trim pump so i need some ballast on the port side. when i was in the boat it was ok, but both of us on one side and it is shaky. do i use a water tank or the gas tank batteries on the port side what? when i get the video up you can definitely see the list. it looks good in the water , probably the only one like it around . that's what i was going for.

Rather than adding weight, I'd try trim tabs or at least one stationary tab on the starboard side that is be manually adjustable. It won't help when the boat is sitting still or at idling speed but once she gets moving. it should level out fine.

You might also try adjusting your trim tab's aft end hard to starboard, and see if it helps.
Another cause of the described behavior can be if the bow is dragging heavy in the water - perhaps because there is not enough positive tilt applied. (bow steering)

ok after all day i finally got the video uploaded to you tube

go to youtube and search for 1960 mfg sea cruiser it will be sitting in the middle of the lake thank you we were at 35mph
and the water was too choppy at the end you can see me laughing cause the camera was shaking bad... i was giddy i want to get it back out when the water is camer and see what it will do.
