I ran across this on Craigslist. It has a 350 Chevy stern drive with through-hull exhausts. I can have it for $500 but I'm still on the fence. The owner calls it a 1980 Sea Ray Terminator but there's no way it's a Sea Ray...at least not like any I've ever seen.

Its a "California" style daycruiser, most in the 70's and early 80's were jet drives, but were found to be more efficient with I/O's. 21 to 24' long, most had twin saddle tanks that the jets would suck dry in no time. Nice family boat with an I/O. Should be some I.D. on it somewhere. Low to mid 50mph range with a 260hp Mercruiser. Eliminator, Sanger, and Sleekcraft are three majors that come to mind, and there are others.

Looks a lot like a Spectra. see http://www.performanceboats.com/boats-sale/336058-1974-spectra-24-xs-v-drive-$8-000-00-a.html

I usually would not suggest going to another forum but you may find this very boat on Performance Boats http://www.performanceboats.com/forum.php

Ike is probably right, it looks like a Spectra or some copy. The windows look like they were added by one of the owners. I have a 19 foot Cheyenne hull that looks the same, even down to the bow profile, and I know it is a copy of a Spectra hull.

Really looks like the 20' Spectra, Howard and any number of others of the time that were splashed from the Camble, made some suttle changes and branded them their won.

Only reason I recognized it is because the Coast Guard had a small fleet of Spectras back in the 70's that they used for boating Safety Patrols, mostly on the Parker Strip and Lake Havasu. They were very distinctive.
