Try resizing the pics, I use a resize app on my phone. Hope that helps. No one can really help without a look at the boat.

Here are the pics from Craigslist. Interesting looking boat. I've never seen one that looks quite like it.

I'm stumped. Although the emblem is eating at me. Like I should know it. I'll ponder it and if I think of anything I'll get back to you. But for now, I'm stumped. :(

If you can get to a laptop or desktop windows use the "paint" app to resize your pictures to about 1000 pixels. Are there any identifying marks or numbers anywhere on the transom inside metal tag or stamped on the outside? I've never seen that design before. You've introduced something new to us that's why no one is answering. Repost it with a catchy title like "Strange design/weird boat - HELP"

Write or call the DNR to trace the registration number still visible on the bow. Somebody registered it as something.

Try the "mc-8455-gb" that is shadowed on the front hull. It's a registration number that could be traced.
If not obtainable call it a one off papa murphy delivery vessel.

Definitely utility or fishing vessel for sure, kind of neat though.

I am leaning towards a Shell Lake brand. I've had several and the hardware is identical. I know they used different suppliers but those are unusual rope guides on the bow. The hull is very close to those pictures in the glassic library. Some type of utility design.

It does have some really cool and unique hardware, I like the sleekness of the bow light.

The color exactly matches a '67 Shell that I turned into a woodie. (Pull Toy)
I would have bought the boat just to get the cool bow drill.

Those bow lights are available new from A&A Marine, Century installed them as standard equipment on several models in the late 60's thru the mid 70's.. I just purchased one to replace the severely pitted one on my 1973 Century resorter..

Re:New Guy Boat Id HELP.. 7 years 8 months ago #130208

The bow light is fairly common and was used by many boat builders. The chocks are not unique. I have never seen anything like this boat in Shell lake Boats, Inc. brochures or ads. That does not mean it is NOT a Shell Lake, just means I have never seen it in anything I have researched.

I have no clue what make it is but I do think it's neato

Re:New Guy Boat Id HELP.. 7 years 8 months ago #130226

There was a "Kingfisher" brand fiberglass boat made in Clarksville, Texas by Master Molders, Inc. starting circa 1962.

It probably popped up after the demise of Red Fish Boat Company of Clarksville.
