TOPIC: SAW A 1958 SPEED LINER TODAY!!!!

Saw a 1958, 14-ft. Speed Liner boat today, all original, with original 85 hp Evinrude and trailer. Was traveling thru here going to central Florida!! I haven't seen a Speed Liner since the early 60s!!! Guy was from Utah.

Any of you all have a Speed Liner??

It was similar to my wife's 1958 Glasspar Tacoma shown here!!

Can't say if I've seen one or not. I'm new to the old fiberglass game.
I just wanted to say that's a great picture of a really great looking boat.

Thanks. I also have a 1960 Glasspar G-3 that runs 56 mph! It is too fast for my wife so we found the boat above which runs half-fast 28mph!!! for her.

Here is my G-3 at near full throttle. It had more, but was too squirrely to run any faster!!!

From the left coast, in the sixties we had a Speedliner which was a Mahogany all wood very fast outboard. With a Merc 800, we could ski at 32mph with 2 skiers at 5000 feet.

Would like to see that one! Do you have a pic of it??

Sorry I have not come across any pictures of that boat or several others my Dad owned back in the 50' & 60's. Only ones I've come across are of his 67 Glasspar Avalon.

our friend norm griffen has 2 or 3 wood speedliners from the early-mid 50's and a glass 58, ithink...cool boats the lpywood boats are beutiful
