I'll get some pictures soon. Picked it up from Rawhide Boys Ranch in New London, WI. Slightly more than I usually pay for a boat but it is in remarkable condition, new seats, rock solid transom, excellent running '78 Evinrude 85hp motor with WORKING TNT, clean LU oil, killer digital stereo/cd (not a big deal for me), spare ss prop, Calkins trailer with working lights.
Have one minor cosmetic repair where the glove box let loose from the dash.
Stopped at the DNR office after picking it up and registration was transferred in less than 10 minutes for $25.75.
Going to put it in the water today and then start buffing. Any work to be done will be winter stuff scattered in between helping Mark with his GT.
Fella that bought my Tomahawk is driving up from Chicago early Friday morning, 4am to pick up his new boat and bring it back home to his cottage in Tomahawk, WI. How ironic, Tomahawk boat, built in Tomahawk, WI, going back home after 58 years to be used again. To me that's satisfaction I get by bringing the old girls back to life.

Looks good!

BTW - for a while all you are going to do is drink my beer and direct while I pop the top and clean up the hull. Once we get to laying transoms and glass, then you will be hands-on. Did I mention that I want to pop the top on the Triton too???? :woohoo: Really want to get Bill's 850 on it, and the current transom is a little spongy. Might have aleady found some sweet back to back seats for it too.

Nice find Cal. My friends live in Tomahawk...maybe one day I will see your "masterpiece" out tearing up the hot rodders with that beast of a 135!

Bill,
Always liked Marty, With Gene W's passing they started showing clips of the Young Frankenstein movie with Igor :woohoo:

Mark/Mark. The Tomahawk is being picked up about 9 this morning. The gentleman left Chicago @ 4am. Told him I'd have fresh coffee waiting.

Mark L. If you're home today I'll pull the Ebko over and we can discuss plans

Nice find. If this keeps up we'll have to start a tri hull subforum.

I always loved the tri-hull design. Seems they got a bad rap when they first came out, people said the rode rough. I never found this to be the case. They are much more stable than a V and no splashing in your face in rougher water. You can sit on the gunwale without tipping sideways, more storage room.
I've owned several tri's and lots of v's. If you want speed go "V", if you want just plain comfort cruising go with a tri.

Cal - I will be down in Appleton the next 2 days helping my girlfriend move. Right now I have Sunday pegged as "boat day". Let me know if that will work.

BTW - I just saw another EBCO on CL

Splashed it this morning. Ran OK but seems to be some vibration or feedback on the steering while no wake(ing). Top speed seems to be around low 30's. TNT work perfect, volt meter not showing anything but I know it's charging so that's a look see. Prop is probably wacked out of shape cuz it looked pretty dinged up but no chunks missing. I'll swap that out. Pretty heavy torque steer to starboard, hope I fix that up with the little do-hikey on the skeg.New plugs and a tank of SeaFoam should do wonders. Otherwise she's a good runner.
Interior needs to be completely rewired. PO ran separate wires for just about everything so there's at least six wires connected to each battery terminal. Will install a fuse board and clean up the rat nest.
Oooodles of water circulating and Pi$$in' like a race horse.

I have 79 with OMC 800, chevy 305. Needs a shift cable, but picked up the boat for a song. I know the cables are stupid money but what we got her for, and the condition, I'll put the money into the cable in the spring unless someone wants to be real kind! Anyone know of a place that repairs cables? Here are some pics. Great boats, would live to start a separate thread here. Info is hard to come by.

And a shot of the interior. Saw someone mention starting tri-hull forum. I am up for that, if not a single one fro Ebko, a tri-hull forum would be great.
