TOPIC: Glasspar V175

Glasspar V175 8 years 1 month ago #125719

I've a Glasspar V175. I'd like to learn more about it. I believe it's from the late 60s or early 70s. The hull has a tag with a number on the transom: 724362.

Check the "Glassic Library", there's quite a bit of info on the company posted there:

I believe you have a GLASTRON V175, not a GLASSPAR!!! There is no such Glasspar model.

Hello Green Hornet,

I found a picture of a 1975 V-175 over at ClassicGlasspars.

Some may argue it’s not a really a Glasspar but rather a Larson showing a
Glasspar badge.

Larson acquired Glasspar in 1966 and within a few years the beautiful classic
lines of Bill Tritt designed boats was history.

In 1965 Glasspar also produced a Flying V-17 and in 68 offered a Flying V-175.

Both boats utilized Glasspar’s new V Step Lift Hull.

20’ V Step Lift Hull

The article above mentions it was also available in 16’ & 18’ models.

Please post pictures of your Glasspar.

Thanks,
Terry
