Whoever dies with the most toys wins and I think you're in the running :)

I know for sure there are at least two more boats lurking behind the camera, maybe more

I have caught the dread disease big time!!!!

Cal - the kids and I talked last night and I am likely to pick up a project to work on with them. Hopefully just cosmetic as I already have 2 "pop the top" projects going. The new project is going to be the 74 Marlin that I posted to Sightings. Love the look of the 1350 on it. Pretty sure that one is going in the "garage in a box"!!!

Here are some pics "behind the camera" That was the day I brought the 850 and 1000 home.

You can see the white 1963 Lone Star Triton in the back left, and the 1980 Glastron GT-150 on the back right.

Red one is a 1968 Lone Star Mustang. Sweet boat that I got as is for under $400!!!

Cal - by the end of the week I should have my new lights hooked up in the garage. 3 sets of 4X4 foot flourescents donated from a local company. Once those are in the place will be lit up like a Polish church!!

Seeing that beautiful Cloud White Merc laying there makes me want to cry. Btu we learned how to turn them into 100HP's so there's hope. :)

No ones going to pry that white Merc out of my hands!!!! Can't wait to mount it on the 63 Triton, but the Triton needs a new transom first. Unfortunately, I am thinking it will also need a new floor, stringers, foam, etc, etc, etc. :S

Sigh..........LOL. At least it's got a good home. My G-3's day will come. If I hung that beauty on the back of her now it would probably split the boat in half. :) Stringers and some transom rebuilding first. But still................sigh.

Just got the '74 Marlin home - I think I am out of the boat buying business. She has kind of a big ass....

Time to go buy a garage in a box I guess....

I guarantee you'll be absolutely astounded with the performance of the 1350 on that 16' hull !

You better be sure everyone is firmly planted in their seats the first time you take off!

I dunno Mark, the word "hoarding" is coming to mind. I think you missed the delivery point by about 8 miles. Should have gone a little further north.

Ed - it's an 18, but I agree that it will fly. Thinking of conjuring up a limiter for it so the kids have training wheels for a while.

Cal - exactly what I was thinking!!! Thanks for the offer of winter storage!!! That saves me from having to go buy a "garage in the box". The girlfriend was less than happy when I mentioned her coveted red Mustang might need to spend the winter outside again! I think she likes that boat more than me!!!!

Maybe have a hidden switch that does not allow the trim to come up so the kids can drive it flat with a wet hull to keep it slower and behaving. Then when someone panics and does the throttle pull back too suddenly, you do NOT get the affect you get when trimmed out where the "relaxed" torque on the motor actually slightly steers the boat a bit off center before the hull slams back into the water and tries to throw you out of the seat as one of the chines hooks and darts the boat ...you will never forget it if you have done it.

Side note: My habit led to me renting a storage garage for my wife's mustang...(but also snuck another boat in there). The affliction is hard to control.

I think that avoiding that would be exceeding beneficial!!! Maybe I should leave the T&T "broken" for a while (can't find that one part ;) ) That way the ex-wife doesn't try to kill me for letting the kids hurt themselves. There is going to have to be a lot of training before they will be allowed full access to the boat and the use of it without me. Heck, I need to learn how to drive the boat before I try to teach them how to do it!!! There's equal chance of me crashing the boat right now.  I don't have much experience 40+ on the water outside of a few stints on a jet ski.

Anyone want to come and give me lessons?? I'll provide the boat, gas, even some post run malted beverages. The problem with the Bay is that it is large enough that you can go faster than your guardian angel can fly, and it can also turn from flat calm to rollers in 15 minutes. However, it will be a lot of fun to turn the Marlin and / or the GT-150 loose on one of those calm days!!
