If you think that's bad, check out the link below. Guy was selling an old prop (I think for a Mark 75) for $1,250. I messaged him and asked why the price was so high, wondering if there was something special about it I wasn't aware of, and he told me 'because it's vintage'. I sent a link to one that was listed for $70 with free shipping and he said he 'knows what his item is worth and has done his research'.

I probably shouldn't have said anything but I'm always curious on why some people come up with a price that's 10x inflated.
