TOPIC: 1969 Mercruiser lift pump

1969 Mercruiser lift pump 8 years 5 months ago #121658

I have a 1969 Mercruiser with only one hydraulic hose coming from the pump going to the manifold. Each of my ram arms have only one line going to them. I'm trying to find someone who can rebuild pump side (electric is fine) or get a suitable replacement but have not been able to find a pump of this vintage. Can I use a 3 wire pump with two hose lines and plug one?

The last year the single hose system (TILT, not TRIM) was used is 1967. Trim became standard in 1968. It is possible that there was an NOS engine crated at the boat factory but 2 years is a long time.

I have a working pump and motor out of a 1966 Dorsett San Juan. Let me know if you are still looking for one and I can send you a photo to make sure we are talking about the same set up. Brad
