I picked this Boat up off the side of the road in my neighborhood. It was left for the trash man. I decided to take it home and restore it. It had a major hole in the bottom and was nearly tore from one side to the other across the bottom.
There is no name plate or Identification numbers on it anywhere..I looked as I took it apart to clean out the rotted wood and make repairs.
The Closest thing it resembles is an G-W INVADER. But after viewing many pics online, I found that there are a couple of differences: Mine has a Flat Flange that wraps the boat which the Bumper covers, The Invader does not, also the Console on mine is not Raised as high as the one on the Invader.
Any Help would be appreciated in Identifying the Make and what years they were built. I plan on a FULL Restoration. Pics Provided to help Identify it. Dimensions are: 10ft Long x 5ft Wide and less that 3 feet high.

Can't get your pics, try putting them right on this site instead of photobucket

I think you may be copying the wrong IMG code from photobucket

I dont think the pix upload works that way on FiberGlassics.

If the pix are on your computer, upload 1 pix to FG while posting. Submit the post w 1 pix only. Then edit it to add 1 pix at a time until you get a total of 6 pix per post.

I posted the IMG code from your PB acct and could have posted 6 all at once, then submitted my post once, no edit required

YUP, me thinks you have a leak there. Is that a gapping hole or does it just look like that. Got any ideas on how to repair it?

Bandit,

WELCOME ABOARD.

Sorry, I have NOT a clue as to what your "trash-can" boat might be BUT someone among our many members will likely KNOW.

[file/] This is actually a cousin to the GW Invader, called the Marlin 10. Only a handful were built by a mom and pop operation in the Seattle area. I only know this because I acquired the original mold for this boat from the folks that built them.

GW Invaders have a rounded nose and the Marlin 10 has the squared off nose, which is seen in the pictures.

Attached are a couple pictures of the mold.

Here is a side shot of an Invader. You can see the distinct differences. Invaders have more gentle, rounded lines, and the Marlin has more angular lines.

Garcher,
Very cool little hot rod boat pix in your profile.
Any chance that you could post pictures or a link to images of your mini hulls??

Do you have contact info for the Seattle based Marlin builders?
If so, please zap it off to me in a PM.
I 'think' my Marlin 'low profile' was on of theirs, built in Renton, in the extended Seattle area.

The Marlin folks are living here in Arizona (at least part time). I haven't seen him for quite some time, but if he stops by the shop, I'll find out about any other boats they built. I know they ran a marine salvage and recovery operation on Bainbridge Island, but I think they sold everything.

Here's a few pics of some of our minis...

Garcher,

Thank you so much! That is the boat for sure!
I have spent countless hours and days trying to find the Model until now!

Do you know what years they were produced?
