I live in Tucson, surprisingly huge boat community in Az
think its largest boat owner state per capita, who knew ? haha.
Anyways, Ive been in the classic car scene for many yrs and
recently picked up 2 boats in less then a month.
1 is a 69 Cheetah Jetboat and the other is a
59 or maybe a 60 Span American (possibly a Runabout) . Both
need restoring, but I thought it would be cool to tow one
behind a 60 Buick LaSabre convertible I have too.

Still learning about them, feel free to offer any info.
Not sure how long I plan on keeping them, but for now they are
in my driveway

Welcome aboard. Get away fast this hobby is more addicting than cars simply because its so easy to find neat old boats for relatively little money. Kinda like it was in the 70's with old cars. Personally purchased 2 in the last 4 months and am picking up another on Sunday. Its bad get away quick.

Yep you've gotten the disease already!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome aboard by the way, glad your here. Couple of nice boats and nope that Cheetah isn't a Century. Yeah I'm a Century club member also. I have a '53 Resorter. You have two great boats to restore and yeah I think that Span America would look great behind the Buick!!!!!!!!!!

I was planning on owning one, so I may be selling off the
Jet boat and keeping the Span America for a while.
My business revolves around selling auto accessories, auto restoration, and buying and selling classic cars (and now
maybe boats haha) We do old travel trailers too.
Part of the fun is owning them, but reality sets in too
and I got to remind myself there are bills to pay too at the
end of the month. I keep what I can though for as long as
possible.

But I don't know about that old tow buggy (the Buick) I think that would look better pulling my Hydrocon. LOL I'll trade you my Ford E150 Mark III for it. I think its one that were made in santa anna cal. as for the model I would git out the tape measure and check the see what you git. then cross it over with the lenthes of the ones in the liberary. but it looks like mine a v.i.p. runabout.
