TOPIC: 2016 Calendar Pictures

Hi fellow members!

Ron has passed on the baton for producing the calendar and I will attempt to round the track without dropping it!

Here is what comes to mind:

1. Cover which will be dedicated to Ron and his boat. He worked on this project for 7 years and donated profits to the support of the site.

2. We will do at least 4 pictures per page. This year we are looking for action shots: to quote, "a picture dock side or at speed with the owner driving". This is the goal. However, if you have a picture that is really noteworthy in your opinion, please feel free to submit it!

3. The images should be very high resolution! Grainy pictures won't look good.

4. With your picture I would like at least the following:
A. Your name (as you would like it to appear)
B. The make, model and year of your boat (if you know it!)
C. A short description of the picture (where, when, why, how, etc).

I don't know how much information will fit but we'll see once we start the layout.

5. I won't guarantee everyone will get in the calendar but I know at least 48 will. I will probably ask some board members and probably Kelly (the founder of FiberGlassics!) to help select.

6 I will post the cover when it's ready but I think it will be interesting if the pictures we select won't be known until the calendars are shipping. Should make it fun.

7. I will set up a secure payment button for orders to streamline the ordering process. And we will take checks. The payments will begin and end on specific dates so there won't be any confusion.

8. I have created an email address for pictures to be sent to. There is no size limitation on the mailbox on our servers so you don't have to downsize the image.

Hey Ken I don't have any photos of my boat in the water with me in it.... So I sent you a photo of my boat on the trailer at the Antique boat show !!

Ok, I'll take any photos at this point! I need a lot more. Post a copy of your picture here as well if you want to give a preview to members.

For some reason this site doesn't seem to like the .jpeg file extension.It should show up if you just change it to .jpg unless the picture is also too large, in which case you will need to downsize it.

What resolution does that picture need to be of Jack's? I actually took that and it is a cropped version of a larger file.

Boat is a 1962 Avalon with a 59 35hp Jubilee which I purchased about 6 week ago. It had been stored for about 41 years. I polished it, had the engine serviced and took it to the Fall Run on the Delta. It performed admirably and while I would like more hp I'm going to leave it alone, so unlike me.

An addition we can incorporate into the upcoming calendar is events noted on the calendar. For example, I'd like to get some dates of upcoming boat shows so they can display. Like: "XYZ Glassic Boat Show, Somewhere, USA" displayed on June 15.

Hello all,

I am an old visitor and new member. I hope my picture comes through. It shows 2 of my favorite things: The love of my life (most favorite!!), and also the birthday present she bought me. 1965 Powercat 15T unrestored one owner. My project boat is a 1958 13'-6" Fiberglass Wilson made in Rice Lake, Wisconsin (I believe by George Wilson). I believe the company later was sold to Span America, but I am no authority on this. I just loved the boat and bought it to restore before I even looked into its history. Your site has been priceless to me with all of the amazing people here with their knowledge and passions...so THANK YOU EVERYONE for all of the contributions to this site Wish me luck.

2. All calendar orders are due by December 8th. If paying by check the due date is December 1st.
3. Calendars will ship by December 15th.

It takes me where you imply but after entering all of my information it kicks me out because the Invoice Number is incorrect. Buying something should not be this difficult.

Ok, fixed, try it now...

I struggled there also a few days back. I tried just "inventing" my own invoice number and it seemed to take it and move through to the end...I just guessed and hoped it worked. Maybe you have fixed that as you mention above. Can't wait for mine! Maybe THAT will motivate me to get my restoration going!!
