Just wanted to say Hi! New to the forum and new to boating...well sort of. We just picked up a really cherry 1970 Evinrude Sportmans 155 runabout last week. My better half grew up in the Power Squadron, while I retired from the U.S.Navy a number of years back.

So I hope I don't ask too many lame questions as we get our new to us classic runabout ready for our first run. We're Located in Northern California near Chico, just down the road from Lake Oroville, Lake Almador, and ten miles from the Sacramento River.

You have a great boat! I have a 1970 Evinrude Explorer. The same hull as yours but the windshield in front. My friends call it ugly but they will always go out on it. My parents bought one new when I was nine so I grew up on it until college. Just two years ago, I found one on Craigslist and had to have it. One thing about that boat is that it can always get you home in tough water.
