TOPIC: 1957 Winner Sabre

1957 Winner Sabre 14 years 2 months ago #11445

I was offered a 1957 Winner Sabre at a fair price and was wondering if they are popular resto. I don't need another project but that never stopped me before. Can anyone ID the trailer from the second picture. Thank You

Winner Mfg. Co. was about the earliest builder of fiberglass boats (actually their first boats were not reinforced with glass fibers - it was something else). So there is a good history associated with Winner.

Got it home today. The trailer still had the tag on the frame, it's a '60 -'61 Elgin #23168031. The boat itself seems preaty solid and the engine fired up and pumped water so it got mounted on my '58 Lone Star.
Would anyone be interrested in the Winner?
