This is my first boat, which I purchased 2 weeks ago. I am very excited to have it, as I live in the Adirondack Park within 20 miles of 6 Boat launches, accessing 7 beautiful lakes.

I am interested in finding out any additional information that anyone could provide about my boat, about the Swiss Craft Brand/Company, What the year of my boat might be? And where parts for my boat could be found, i.e. windshield, lights, etc.?

The registration I have lists the boat as a 1970, but based on pictures I've found, I'd be further inclined to believe it's a late 1960's model. There isn't much information to be found on the Swiss Craft Brand. It's in great shape for being a 45+ y/o model. I'd like to do a slow restoration project on it and this is my first step.

Thanks for any information, pictures, stories, links, etc. that you can provide.

Sweet looking boat. If you haven't already tried this - goto the 'glassic library' above, then 'fiberglass boats' then 'swiss6'. There is some info on Swiss Craft from the 1970 era in the Swiss6 tab.

Thanks guys.

Yes Dave I have gone to the Swiss6 information page and that is the ONLY Place anywhere online that I've been able to find any information on Swiss Craft boats. Interestingly enough, that's what led me to the FiberGlassics community, so I was hoping to get some advice or information from the "experts" :)

"Swiss Craft" was successor to "Swiss 6" which grew out of Owens/Cutter all in Tell City, Indiana. I have a file of information on them at my home but I am not home. I do NOT have any brochures. price lists, advertisements.

Re:Looking for Boat Info 9 years 2 months ago #113817

When I was home for the weekend I checked my BOAT file cabinets. I could not find my Swiss 6/Swiss Craft file. I have no clue where it may be. I didn't have time to dig deep however. I am very organized and for me to not find something like this is very frustrating.

I know I had a bunch of newspaper articles from back in the day and some notes from a guy that bought most of the stock or hardware when Swiss Craft finally closed their doors.

I will look next time I am home (I am only home about every other weekend).

Sorry.

Hey thanks, I appreciate you taking the time to look.

I completely understand how that could be frustrating as I am very much the same way when it comes to organization, etc.

Best of luck to you.
