TOPIC: What is it

Need your help, just purchased this great looking boat and I need to know what it is. The owner called it a Mako Shark made by slickcraft in Michigan. I can find no reference by this name nor can I find any other boat that looks like this. The engine is a modified Johnson 10 HP made into an inboard sitting behind the seats. The middle of the engine was removed and the power head and the drive unit bolted back together. Boat engine serial numbers point to 1962. Will be restoring it so any help would be great.

How much did you end up getting it for? Pretty neat boat.

found her on ebay, showed the picture to my wife and she said I had to buy it. GREAT WIFE. In the process of starting the restoration, cleaning out the gas tank is a real pain. Any ideas on what to use?

kind of looks like the little boat that rubbermaid , did many years ago. may be do a google on rubbermaid boats.

What gas tank, metal or plastic?
If it's a rusted metal tank there are several products on the market to de-rust them or you could use electrolysis. If it's just gunky old gas acetone will dissolve it but will not remove the rust.
