TOPIC: Mid Fifties Custom Craft Thunderbolt Resto

Completed the major part of the restoration of the 15' Custom Craft Thunderbolt Seagoing, C-Rea. Custom Crafts were normally sold as kit boats, they were known for the wrap-around windshield and cut-away stern. Upholstery by Ultimate Upholstery in Spokane WA. Engine mechanical restoration by Dr. Frankenmerc of Shelton WA. Paint and Decals from Peter at NY Marine. All finish work done by yours truly. Launched yesterday at Diamond Lake, WA.

The original deck was ply, the previous owner replaced it with 3/4" Mahogany, did a great job.

Wow!! what a fantastic looking boat, you really have something to be proud off. I bet it feels really good to finally have it in the water, how does it ride and handle?

Cool looking boat, especially the way the stern wraps around the outboard.
