TOPIC: quick steering question.. mercury

been working on mounting up my motor over the weekend.. and when i was hooking up the steering i noticed it seems like it doesnt makes enough of a turn..but could just be me..
the steering is a teleflex fixed mounted in the side of the splash well..not through the tube.. the motor is a 90hp mercury... but i noticed it has 2 mounting holes on the steering arm on the motor.. if i use the inner hole would i get anymore travel than the outter end hole? thinking along the terms of leverage.. and a shorter throw...

Some pics of your setup might help, but generally yes - the hole closer to the motor will turn the motor more but may be a bit harder to turn due to less leverage. Does the alignment with the splashwell mount allow using either hole? (You don't want to put your steering cable in a bind back there.)
