I strongly dislike these seats! Don't buy a seat on-line unless you plant your butt in one for real.

These seats looked good on-line and had decent reviews. But there was no side picture. It's like sitting in a recliner! And the pedestal creaks!

It's this one: Wise 8WD007-6-710 Rotomolded Pilot Chair with Adjustable Pedestal and Seat Slide, White

I've looked for bolsters to help with the back, but they are mainly cylinders. This seat need the back to come forward. Maybe a wedge shaped cushion. any ideas?

Man, no replies! I thought someone would have at least said "Why'd you put those seats in that boat anyway?!?!"

Any ideas? I thought about cutting them and putting on a hinge form the old seats!

Yeah, "Why'd you put those seats in that boat anyway?!?!" :P

I'm thinking a couple of Laz-e-Boys in Tweed would look smashing!! :woohoo:

These seats on eBay are kinda nice-looking:

Only 2 left!

Many more on there, ain't cheap though!

These Sea-Doo seats are sharp-looking, they'd better be at the price!:

Cheers.......ed

Those are good looking seats Dan, I think I'd try your idea of getting a back cushion made to make them more comfortable to you.

Dan:
Looking at how the cushion that acts as the back
support on those seats is made, it looks to be removable.
Maybe take that in to an upholstery shop to add thickness
and maybe even more area to fill in and make them more
to your liking. You could also put wedges under the rear
seat mounting to tilt them more forward, but that may just
make them feel like they are dumping you out the front.
If you can find where the squeak in the pedestals is
coming from maybe some kind of rubber grommet or insulating
material could stop that if placed between the offending
surfaces.
Just some thoughts that might help,

Regards,

Danny Leger

Looking at the seats, i think i'll try making a foam wedge to put behind the removable back cushion. If I can find the right angle and make it comfortable I'll see if someone can make a new cushion. Then again, it may end up looking chunky. We'll see.

Once i get someone to sit in the seats for me i'll have a look around at the pedestals. But, I think it's coming from the joint where the 2 parts of the adjustable pedestal meet.

Thanks!
