Anyone else here feel that there just isn't enough time in a day? or sit and think to themselves, How am I going to ride all these horses when I only have one backside? Well anyhow, Things should settle down around here, soooooon? I hope for my sanity. But I managed to bring on another project I hope not to neglect, I pick her up tomorrow. a 1959 Apache to mate up to my neglected lake n sea.

I think Chevy's '55 Cameo trucks were the first with the slab side beds that started it all. There's a guy close to me with one of those Apache trucks with a neat camper shell on it.

Well, if anyone else is interested in a great tow vehicle for their "Fiberglassic," I just happen to have this one for sale which requires absolutely no work. It is a 1960 Chevy Stepside, rigged for towing, and it is currently for sale on eBay and Craigslist.

Regards,
StevieB

Very cool! I like the matching boat truck combo...mine doesn't match exactly but I am planning on adding a tow package to my roadrunner so I can tow my Olympic with it.

My tow vehicle someday ?

There is story that goes with this truck. There was one similar for sale at the end of my street one time, with no price ? So I started
checking Ebay to see what they were going for, before I went to see how much the one at the corner costs.
After seeing they went anywhere from 1700 to 2000 dollars. I thought
I don't need it that bad ? Anyway, one weekend my wife went out of town. AND this truck came up for 750 bucks, opening bid, out of San Francisco. It was in a lot better shape than the one on the corner, where he wanted 2650 for it. SOOOO, since the wife was gone, and there was 6 days in the auction, AND to scratch the itch, I opened the bid at 750 dollars Knowing full well that it would go for more by the end of the auction because I've been watch the final bids in the final minutes of recent auctions. Well.... guess what ? I was the only bidder... I thought OH Sh*t, I'm in trouble now ?
So here I am, owner of a truck in California, and I live in Ohio. It ran, but had no brakes. Therefore I had to find a point to point truck driver.
Needless to say 1250 dollars later. It's in Ohio. So here I am with 2000 dollars invested in a truck.
So, now I have to tell the wife, I bought a truck for 750 bucks, she was pissed (honey-do-money don't you know ?) but she said that's not too bad I guess ? Then I told her how much it was going to cost to ship ? I'm still recovering from injuries on that one ? So, she asks what does it look like ? I show her a picture.... And she says that thing is FUGLY !!!! Well the name has stuck. Everybody calls it Fugly now !
That's ok though, I think it looks cool !
