TOPIC: Did I buy a 1957 Glasspar Avalon?

Hi all, I am hoping you can help. I bought a boat from a gentlemen in Coeur d' Alene. I got the boat, trailer and motor for $500.00. The registration says '1957 CSF' as the description. The trailer and the boat have the words 'glasspar' faded into the paint - but no sticker or logo.

I've viewed the forum, and I think I have a 1957 - I just don't know which window configuration it had originally...the window it has now looks almost homemade.

The motor is a 1965 Johnson 75 HP - runs well.

I eventually want to go down the path of restoration - just want to know what I am restoring.

Any help is appreciated. Mods, if this is not the appropriate string, please move...I want to be respectful as a first time poster.

Brandon, welcome. Most definitely a Glasspar. Go to the top of this page and click on the Glassic Library tab and there is some pretty good info on your boat.
My opinion is you did a good deal, $500 for a rig that has a running engine and a useable trailer is a fair price. I think that windshield has to go though

As 63 Sabre said Glasspar for sure although it does not look the same as this boat which is the 57 Avalon.





It does look similar to this early Lido which was 14’ LOA where the Avalon was a 16’ boat.
