TOPIC: Thompson Boat Rally

Registration packet and forms are available for the ninth THOMPSON ANTIQUE & CLASSIC BOAT RALLY taking place 27 June 2015. It is held at Nestegg Marine at Marinette, Wisconsin.

The Rally is open to any and all vintage watercraft, not just Thompson et.al. All hull materials welcome. It is NOT a wooden boat event.

NO judging and NO awards. Low key. Plenty of time for boat rides and getting to know each other.

I will plan to get up to your neck of the woods for this event.

My neighbor has a Thompson he is working on and will try to bring it up there too. I can taste the icy cold Leinies now.

I have another neighbor that has an old Cruisers Inc. He was supposed to work on it over the winter but nothing much was accomplished and I don’t suspect it will be ready soon.

ooooooo, a cabin cruiser model by Cruisers, Inc.. Those are not seen very often.

The guy who owns the cruiser was under the impression it was a 1957. Looking around I found this one for sale in SC. Apparently it is a 1961 Model 570 Sea Camper and is described in the ad as a rare boat.







Looks similar to the 1963 model.
