Weather has been good the past few days in northeast WI. In the 60's yesterday so it was a good opportunity to put some paint on my winter project. Did all the steps, sanded, primed and shot on the final coat.
Really came out good for a home job but wouldn't you know right on the bow something dropped on to the fresh paint, arrrgh! The only spot on the whole topside, right in the most obvious part! About the size of a gnat but it might as well be a zit on the forehead of a 16 year old.
Just have to wait a few days and pick it off.
Took this picture up close so it looks like a mountain on Mars.

Had to vent my frustration somewhere.

Reminds me of when my buddy sprayed the Glastron. He had just finished, and was bent over looking down the side and a fly lands right in front of his face and gets stuck! He wasn't too happy, I thought it was pretty funny

Cheers

How about a picture of the whole topside? What color is that?

Sorry about that. I hate when you have put so much effort into a project, then close to the end, a little thing truly looks like a mountain instead of the little mole hill it really is in life.

On the other hand, this might be a nice place to mount an accessory, like a horn or rotational spot light.

:)

It's hardly noticeable, I'll just dab a spot of fresh paint.
Didn't take many close ups of the job. It's Rustoleum sunburst yellow mixed with some fleet tractor yellow, sorta golden yellow and hardener.

Never had a fly land when I was looking, I'd be tempted to smash it right there. Over the years though there have been mosquitos, lady bugs, leaves, tree seeds, branches and other assorted creepy things that just seem to be attracted to the smell of fresh paint.

I think this particular thing what ever it is was put there by a UFO alien that came through the stargate in my garage and then left without my knowledge, you know how those guys operate.
