About 7 or 8 years ago I was looking at this fiberglass boat that was for sale. I saved pictures from the listing site so I could enlarge them to see more details. It was being sold through a consignment website and the middle man I was talking to said the guy wouldn't come down in price and didn't appear to want to sell it too much. This being the case, I lost interest in it. I think it was advertised to $2000 (cdn). From what I remember, it had been stored in a barn for the last 20 years. The emblem on the side says Aero Marine

I just happened to come across the pictures I and thought I would post them here. I still can't find information on the manufacturer. Just curious to find out what I may have missed out on (if anything)!

It looks like a cool boat but it sure wasn't worth $2,000. In that condition, $200 is more like it...OK, I'd go $400 with the hardtop. Sorry...never heard of Aero Marine boats.

I have only seen pics of three of these in the last 17 yrs. Mercs picked up one of these and brought it to the 07 beliot show. besides being rare, these are big boats.

Holy crap, you aren't kidding. That boat dwarfs those motors on the back.

I read something on Aeromarine a while back, but can't remember where. Might have been on Merks old sight. I believe they were made in the Toronto area. That's where Merks boat came from. I've seen two on Kijiji over the years, so that's only four.
(pics are from Kijiji, very small)

Cheers

I don't know why  , but I did some more research. It might be helpful if someone else happens to come across this. Because there is "Areo Marine" R/C boats that appears to be so popular, the search results becomes clouded with some many hits and pictures of those (R/C) boats.

I don't really know how much of this is related to the AreoMarine boats pictured here, but here it is:

Some place in this website it references "company was incorporated, called Areo Marine...of Toronto"
ditchburnboats.ca .

Also Manufactured fiberglass boats under the label of Falcon. President was Roger Hyde:

Thats one killer boat. For the true "fiberglassic" nut, that boat has some key features that make it VERY desirable

1. Tail fins
2. Headlights
3. Large size
4. So ugly - that it's beautiful

I would love to have something like this and I know many hard core collectors that would love it too. Some wouldn't even flinch at the 2K asking price. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I agree, Bruce, and I would add one more feature to your list. It's a very rare boat.
I've always admired the Aeromarine ever since Merks found his.

She would look great behind a 55-57 Chevy.
