TOPIC: barn find

I picked up my free barn find boat today. it is a 1964 starcraft runabout, with stuck bigtwin rude. it has been in the building for 30 years in the same spot, had flat tires aired them up and had to replace I tire, pulled it home @ 20 miles an hour. made it home with no problems. got a Spartan trailer. and an inch of dust and dirt on it.seats are junk, too cold to pressure wash it now. will post some pictures later. no fins so bill will not be interested. lol. frog

How did you find the barn find? I'm curious. Sometimes when I drive on unknown roads I keep looking in fields and behind barns but never in barns.

yes guys, i'll get pictures posted soon, but it is real dirty and is too cold to wash off now. I did take a good look at it today and she seems real solid, no flex in the transom, and floor is solid. I did wipe the deck off and noticed a few nicks in the gel coat. but the hard ware is in real nice condition, and has the jetson stern lite. now I got 2 of them. Cal, I ask everybody that I talk too if they have or know of anybody has old boats or guns. I was working on this guys truck and asked him and his brother inlaw had his dads old boat in his shed and wanted to get rid of it. just ask everybody that you talk too, it works or me. I also drive around and look for them, but if they can be seen from the road they would be gone or are just junk. frog

I don't mind seeing the shots of it dirty. that only shows how much effort you put in to it
