TOPIC: need help identifying a Scott boat

I just acquired a Scott boat and don't know what year or model it is. I found the McCulloch Corp tag with the serial number. Does anyone have any tips on how to find out what it is or what it might be worth? It is for sale, but I don't have pictures yet.

Easy to id with a photo. I've worked on two; Flying Scott and Royal Scott. Similar design fetures, Flying Scott bigger (17' as I recall) and the Royal Scott is about 15'. Walk through windshields, flip up decks, rear lights double as ski tow hook, etc.

There are of course some factory literature about the 1962-1963 Scott boats in the Classic Boat Library:

Value is rather hard to establish on these boats- mostly it will be whatever people are willing to pay - the hobby just hasn't matured yet like the classic car hobby.

Thanks for the help. It looks like it must be a flying scott that has been modified to make it roomier. Maybe it isn't worth the trouble.

It is likely to late but could this be the boat you have. The Fishing Scott?
