Any suggestions of where to look for a Starcraft name plate? I just picked up a 1958 Starcraft Jet Star and looking to replace one that is missing from one side of the boat.

check ebay and you might get lucky.....

Remove the good one you have and make a mold from it and cast your own. There's a great DIY Crestliner logo recast thread around here somewhere, I'll see if I can find it...

Edit: re-casting Crestliner logos

Remove them both and use re-popped vinyl logos, available from lots of places online. Since your Jet is aluminum, and painted, you can fill the rivet holes left when you remove the existing, and once painted there won't be any sign of the holes. Just apply the vinyl and go........

Personally, I'm having a set water-jet'd by someone who works in 3/16" aluminum and stainless steel all day long. His choice in which metal they're made of...

If i had to pay for them, it would probably be cost prohibitive, but I traded a boat and trailer for them, and agreed to wait a LONG time to get them.... It's been over 6mo already. I can wait.

Hi there! Saw JB's post to you regarding the re-creation of your logo and as the guy who has recreated the Crestliner Logos, I;ll weigh in to say that there's no doubt in my mind that you'll be able to recreat them perfectly with the same Smooth On products I used! Good luck with it!

Yes, thanks... The Smooth On products worked great. Was challenging to paint, trying the 325 product and their dye next to cast in the color I desire. Thanks for the info

after research what I found is that painted black then Spaz Stix mirror chrome paint is the best, there is a youtube comparing like 16 chrome paints and this was his top choice, looking to try that since I am short like you one "Pacific Mariner"
