A tip of the hat to TallTexan. Recently he not only offered me a nice long block, for my 64 Merc 650 project, he also delivered it for free, from the other side of Texas to New Mexico! When he passed through Deming, he was towing the prettiest little Yellow Jacket runabout.

It was nice of you waiting near a year for me to "drop it" off.

Just a FYI I fired up the Mark 55 that was on the Yellow Jacket tonight after checking the points, repairing all the insulation cracking wires and changing the water pump.

I have sanded the deck and have put on 6 coats (so far) of varnish. I will keep adding and sanding till there is no grain coming through.

I will be removing the vinyl decals that are on the motor and be replacing them with water slide
