TOPIC: Help with serial #

After playing with afew hardware I happen to find the serial # on the transom handle.so what does this #tell me? 17T104

commando, I would guess that is a part # and not a serial#. just my thoughts. neat looking handle, is it brass? greg

No not brass it's aluminum .after research I though 17 is for 17' long and T is for made in Texas plant but not sure if delmar was made in Texas and 104 is for hull #104.no other pieces have number on it just this one.

we have a 59 glastron....hull number is stamped in the alum part of the rubstrip....that's just how they did it....I think you are correct....john

I've got a 59 fireflite. The whole serial number is stamped into the aluminum trim port stern. Under the splashwell starboard stern is a piece of masking tape with the hull number glassed over. Mine is 112. Written in pencil.
