TOPIC: 1958 Johnson seahorse color question

Hello all, I am re painting my 35 hp super seahorse however the cream color I ordered and tried using, looks a bit on the tan side. My motor looks white and I'm wondering if I should have ordered the "warm white" which is listed as a 1959 color? My motor is a 1958 model which appears original however the color definitely has no tan tint to it, even under the gold I sanded off? There are no shades of whit listed for1958, only the cream?

Can anyone advise what the right color would be? I guess the fact that I'm not shooting for a museum restoration, any thing close would probably do...

They have the correct colors. I thought I had the wrong color for my Evinrude 1959 Golden Jubilee 50hp but it was right on. Color looked blue but was actually a grey.

Fwiw, "waterwings" is correct about "nymarine.ca". = NOT cheap but correct colors.

If you are going to do just one motor Look at the kits If they do not list it, Call, they sometimes will put one together for you

The 58 color is more cream than white. Winter White is for 59 and up.
