I have a newer small outboard that needs to have the carburator rebuilt. I am thinking I may want to do this as a winter project instead of paying someone big bucks. Having never done this before, I am looking for any hints or suggestions. It is not a classic, but you guys have more experiece with this sort of thing than any other large group I am involved with. My appologies to the Moderators if this is in the wrong forum or is inappropriate.

I have a 2007 Honda 4 stroke in 8 hp that drives me wild with this new fuel. No matter what you use as a conditioner it plugs up if you don't run it dry after every use. The fuel bulb that was not supposed to deteriorate did. I love the outboard to death because it is as powerful as my old 9.8 Merc and so easy on gas. The jets are so small they plug easy.
