Hi old friends...hope you are all well....it's been a long time but I thought I would stop back here after having got back in the Glassic's game with a boat I just picked up.

Details on the Glastron site here so I don't have to repeat myself:

I like her, Tim! She has potential. Are you taking her back to this?

I sure wish I could Fredrick but can't.

However I just found a boat tonight with what could be a good period perfect motor and I offered him $150 for the whole package and am meeting him at 9am tomorrow about 40 mins away from here.

Hey thanks Bob....it's good to be back. Checked out the old rotten Crestliner this morning. Transom/floor shot but the thing of interest to me was the 60's 100 hp Merc. Fingers crossed opening the wrap and was happy to not see it full of mice nests, chewed rotten wiring, rusted up carbs etc. Looked really good. Turned flywheel and she is free. No battery to test in any way but old guy assured my it was working great and winterized when put away like 20 years ago. Has power T&T which also appeared good.
And with the old Holsclaw trailer needing new tires only it was a great deal at $150 for all.

One thing I just thought of....is the transom on the GT 160 20" or only 15"? I believe it is long shaft but I guess I will find out when I deliver the Crestliner to the storage yard where my Glastron is.

Pics of all new toys later this week.

Have a great Sunday..... Go Bills Go!!!!

Tim nice finds. I figured you picked up the Merc when I followed the link you provided and it was deleted by the owner. Ya got your winter work ducks in a row now.

Ignore my question about long or short shaft.... the GT is a 20" transom as I certainly expected a 1985 60 hp Merc would be. If the mid 60's Merc 100 with power T&T is as good as it appears to be it will be a really good match for the Glastron as a restore project...for someone besides me.

Do you guys think it will need a jack plate also?

In the next couple of weeks I will pull the 60 off and work on it(finding parts to get the power t&t fixed) and get the 100 merc off the other boat and tested out.

Thanks,
Tim

More pics as promised later this week.
