Like 99% of our old boats - there was no safety lanyard kill switch. One of these would have likely prevented the death of this man. I 100% will be putting one on my Reinell when I am getting it back together. They are very easy to install: Just put it in-line with the ignition switch. If you get thrown from the helm for whatever reason, power to the engine is cut. If you have ever been in a boat that digs into a large wave or other mishap, you are very well aware of how violently you can get tossed around.
