But my question really is, should I keep the motor? She's a 68 merc 1000. The boat is a 68 mfg chevron on a 68 holsclaw trailer.

The PowerCat 18dc will have 2 merc 1000 on her. So I'd have an entire spare motor. That purrs like a kitten.

The chevron is just too small for our family. I'd like the 18dc to be our lake and river boat. Thinking of finding a powercat 23t and repowering with modern saltwater motors for the beach.

I imagine it'd be hard to sell the MFG without a motor.

Thoughts?

Motor shouldn't matter for the right buyer, but with a motor it may appeal to more potential buyers.
