Any advice on who to contact to make/reproduce a covertible top like this? So far everyone just wants to sell me a Bimini top.

I'd think any decent marine canvas or sailmaker shop would be able to do it. Who have you gone to? Stores like west marine and such wouldn't do it. Look up marine canvass for your area. I'd be really surprised if you couldn't find someone.

Of course, findng someone who does it at a price youlike...now THAT is a different story!!

Try Tent and Awning shops or places that do auto and boat upholstery.

I have been debating this same question. I have a 62 Dorsett El Rey with a factory convertible top. I have the original and it looks like vinyl top material and has shrunken so much that it will not go on. Dorsett's have a hidden bow top so it truly looks like a convertible top. I have a canvas guy and will have him do the work but I will find automotive material for him to use. It's copper color with an off white hull, kind of not my choice but it was 1962. John
