TOPIC: RPM gauge Hook up

RPM gauge Hook up 14 years 5 months ago #8985

Hi
can anyone tell me how to hook up a RPM gauge to a 1960 evenrude lark 4o horse Is there any place to hook it up to the stock harness running to the key switch?

Mike, I don't know enough about the older models to be able to help you out on this, someone else will probably jump in and do so eventually. I did find a link to a post that contains two wiring diagrams on a '57 Lark, www.fiberglassics.com/glassic-forums/j-e-g-o-s-place/wiring-diagram-1957-35-lark#2993 , don't know if they would be the same or not!?!?! Sorry

No one had any tips on here for me, but did research, and found out that you can hook up the Tach to the M terminal on the switch, and the other wire to ground, and it will work. both of my Tach are working now
