Update to the Hydro-Electric shifter issue. Finally received all the tools and the gearbox is disassembled. Other than the driveshaft thrust bearing being wasted, everything looked good until the shifter piston would not come free of the valve body. It took a set of pliers an a good deal of force to remove it. I dont see how hydraulic pressure could have moved it. Once I removed the o-ring, the piston would still stick in the bore. After some emory cloth and 2000 grit paper, it now slides freeley. I have to wonder if it is going to jam again, due to design. It seems like alot of pressure is needed to hold the shifter dog in position, which puts stress on this piston. I dont know if the hydraulic pressure helps at this point either, once it starts to jam. Cant find a clearance spec. I am at 0.002"-0.004" now.

Clearance is plenty.
