Running motor. What would be a fair price. That is alot of outboard.

Would this push a Sleekcraft Jr. Executive daycruiser 23 foot?
It is on a 22 foot Fiberform right now.

Looks like a late 1970s model. Strong runners, parts availability is pretty good, not difficult to work on for the most part. Very thirsty motors! It'll go through about 20 gallons in an hour! As such, demand for old-tech crossflow V6s isn't very high. I'd think its worth $300-$500, if it comes with controls. Maybe a bit more if it is demonstrated as running and has had service done recently (carbs, waterpump, etc.)

I would have expected the fuel consumption.
It is a running boat, controls are all there.
He gave $1000 for the boat/motor/trailer 4 years ago.
I would expect that he will come in at 50 to 60% of that price now.
He has another boat and is adament about getting this off of his folks' property. (And so are they)
I would estimate my Sleekcraft to be a bit lighter than this boat, so I thought it would do fine.

He texted back and said he $750 for the boat/motor/trailer. And that would be his starting point.
An hour later I got another text saying that price is VERY negotiable.
