TOPIC: Ole Evenrude

We use a friend's 100 year old grandparents cottage at Lake Ripley in Cambridge, Wisconsin every year and this year the next door neighbor gave us a little local history of the lake and the area. Seems that Ole Evenrude grew up in the area and came up with the idea of an external motor for a small boat when his sweetheart wanted icecream and he had to row across the lake to get her some. It started the Midwest in the boat motor manufacturing. Who knew, thank you Ole!
