Stupid me bought a 73 9.5 Evinrude without looking at it to see if I could hook up controls. It doesn't look like there's a way to do it. Remembering back in the early 70's I had a friend w/ one on a hydroplane and I'm quite sure it had controls. Help!

The remote hookups are NLA, but MarineEngine.com still shows some (2) in stock. Give them a call or talk with Seaway Marine in Seattle, WA. 206-937-7373. Of course you may find NOS stuff on Ebay. Some dealer would love to get rid of one if he had it in stock.

On ME look under 1973 accessories in the engine parts lookup.
