TOPIC: evinrude e60elcea power trim and tilt retrofit

evinrude e60elcea power trim and tilt retrofit 7 years 4 months ago #132677

I just purchased a power trim and tilt unit for my 89 evinrude 60 hp triple.
I am wondering if anyone has experience in wiring up this tilt and trim unit?
Any wiring diagrams would be very helpful.
I do not have the trim switch on my controls, so, I would like to put a switch on my dashboard.
The trim and tilt is a two wire system,

Thanks for your help,

Chris

According to some of my diagrams there were three different types but all are very similar. Some were for the V6's. Here is a general diagram that might be of some help. Just take the switch portions and adapt them to your remote dash.
Hope this helps

Do you have the solenoid/relay box that goes with it? There is an up relay and a down relay. Best to get all of the proper harnesses to go with your trim unit, as they all plug into one another easy-peasy. Much easier than trying to cut & splice something together....
