I have a 1973 Evinrude 100HP Selectric. What type lower unit oil should I use? Premium or standard?

Here's the Good Words from Johnson/Evinrude:

Premium Blend Gearcase Lube. Quality lubricant recommended for all Evinrude and Johnson outboards, 1972 or prior with electric shift and OMC stern drives 1977 or prior with electric shift.

You'll likely find that your 100hp is a 1972 model (or earlier) because '73 was the last year for the Hydroelectric gearbox.

It's around that vintage.

The 100hp was produced in '71 and '72, if you can post the model # off the I.D. plate we can narrow it down for you.......ed

The striping on the hood is 1972 vintage.
