I want to replace dual points on 100hp 66 johnson. has anyone found a electronic conversion kit that fits? I can do machining to make magnet fit over goofy cam. most concerned about fitting under the timing pulley.

I have done it and it worked wonderfully.

Pertronix 1545 is the part you need, but machining and some modifications to the distributor breaker plate will be required. No direct fit kits are available anywhere -

It is a very straight forward and clean swap. Everything fits inside the disto body as it should.

I am doing a detailed write up on the process and will post it here very soon.

Fantastic. I look forward to your information. I did order a different unit to try. At least I know that there is no direct easy replacement. I hope my results are as positive as yours.

I use GM modules for all my small engine conversions. I just
did a six cylinder 90 hp mercury using two

Funny how things become relevant down the road. Did Bruce ever write the conversion document? What machining did you have to do to make your kit work and which one did you use?

Thanks,
David
