TOPIC: compatible parts??

I'm parting out the 1960 75hp starflite on ebay. A guy msg'd me about the starter motor and wondering if it would fit a '62 75hp. Also wants to buy other parts but I don't know what is compatible. Any info??

Cal,I believe the starter/drive will interchange with a '62 75 hp as long as the '62 is the magneto type ignition. I know there was a difference in the drives between battery ignition and magneto ignitions. The starter motor itself may interchange with all '62 75s.

Checked them out. Before I got back to the fella he already pulled the trigger and bought the starter motor. Motor, gear housing, lower bracket and bolts. $65. includes shipping. I think he got a good deal. Got a couple of "watchers" for the carb and fuel pump also.
