I went fishing with the grand kids this past weekend. The 59 Four Fifty ran good most of the day. It was flying at wot. If you ask my grandson we were going 100 mph. Later in the day it sputtered and stalled at low idle a couple of times but restarted and ran fine after each time.

I was looking at the points this morning and I noticed that the points cam had a square shaped marking that lines up with the points contacts exactly at 90 degrees. I never noticed this before. The pictures show the "Top" marking and this square and both are right on the timing marks.

When checking my point gap I found that they were slightly different on these markings.

My question is would this be the proper location to set the points at .020?

Thanks,Ron

Ron I think that you want to set them on the top mark. then turn to the next set of points and set that set to top also. Bob
