TOPIC: Glassing Advice Please

Hello again to all. I'm getting ready to do the final glass-in of the floor on my '60 G3. I'd appreciate some advice before I do anything that would screw it up. My question is if it's necessary to take the mat up the gunnels/transom and, if so, how far?

I've attached a photo of the transom so you can see what I've done so far. I can't figure out how to attach multiple photos so I'll attach a sponson shot to a separate message. Here's some technical info that my help answer my question. The transom is three plys of 1/2" Meranti laminated with one layer of random strand mat using polyester resin. I was able to preserve the exterior skin of the transom and the transom laminate is laminated to it with a layer of mat/resin. I finished the installation with a final layer of mat/resin over the interior surface but didn't wrap the sides and only wrapped the floor/transom joint about an inch. The sponson covers are a single ply of 1/4" Meranti covered with a layer of mat/resin front and back prior to glassing in. The covers are secured in place with resin thickened with carbosil. the seams where the transom meets the sponsons and the floor are filleted with the same carbosil/resin.

where are the stringers?

I'm not using traditional stringers because my woodworking skills weren't good enough to fit them properly. So, I used cross bracing with the braces tied together with 2 X 4 stock. I don't have a pic of the bracing with all of the 2 X 4's in place but the attached pic illustrates the idea.

This pic shows a bit of the total 2 X 4 bracing.

that looks very nice, might be a bit heaver than stock , but very strong.
