TOPIC: A Memorial

A Memorial 13 years 5 months ago #37955

I begin this by stating, I've deep reservations in doing so:
never done anything like this, and, hope to never do it again.

When Jeff, aka. Ponyboy suggested we “end our current drama”
and post pics to show who we are, I was torn.
In posting a few personal pics, I also wanted to post my favorite from the 2009 International Rally, but, something wasn't right.
The two individuals in the picture, have been on my mind for several weeks now.
Wasn't sure why, so had to look it up.
In doing so, found it odd, that tomorrow, the 20th. Of July,
will mark the one year anniversary when we lost two of our own,
due to extremely tragic events.
At the risk of sounding trite, those who know what happened, know.
The details are no longer important.
It is not for me to share.
For even tho, The Jackie Miller and Chris Jordon story plays out like a true Shakespearean tragedy;
I can find no reason to judge the motivations that may have inspired such a horrible event.
Suffice to say, “I saw the good in them.”
It is not my intent to eulogize.
I have my own unique, fond, memories, as I'm sure everyone does who had the opportunity to meet them.
I will say, I was impressed by their dedication to work as a team to bring a G-3 to the Rally.
No small feat.

Chris Jodan and Jackie Miller

I'll end this by saying
peace to all
and meaning it

This was a sad event but from my readings on this special social place I too only knew of the good in them. Great photo and this is how they should be remembered.

Thank you Lar, for your carefully chosen words and a most suitable photo to accompany them.

Two special people amongst a group of special people.
All of them unforgettable.
Ken.
